Italian Wedding Cakes
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Vegetable oil||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Anise extract||4 Teaspoon|
|Granulated sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Flour||5 Cup (80 tbs)|
|Baking powder||5 Teaspoon|
|Anise icing||1 Tablespoon|
Combine the eggs, the 1 cup milk, vegetable oil and the 4 teaspoons anise extract in a bowl and mix well.
Mix in the sugar.
Add a mixture of the flour and baking powder gradually; dough will be stiff and sticky.
Shape into 1 inch balls with floured hands.
Arrange on greased cookie sheets.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes or until bottom is light golden color; top of cookie will remain white.
Dip in anise Icing and let harden on waxed paper.
