Marinated Italian Beans
|Fresh green beans||1 1⁄2 Pound|
|Water||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Italian salad dressing||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs) (Commercial)|
|Chablis/Other dry white wine||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Tarragon vinegar||2 Tablespoon|
|Dried basil||1⁄2 Teaspoon (Whole)|
|Dried whole oregano||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm), crushed|
|Pimiento strips||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Wash beans, trim ends diagonally, and remove strings.
Place beans in a 12-x 8- x 2-inch baking dish.
Add water; cover with heavy-duty plastic wrap, and microwave at HIGH for 12 to 14 minutes, stirring after 5 minutes, or until crisp-tender.
Combine salad dressing, wine, vinegar, basil, pepper, oregano, and garlic, stirring well.
Pour marinade over beans, cover and chill 6 to 8 hours or overnight.
Remove beans with a slotted spoon.
Garnish with pimiento strips.
