Italian Sausage And Rice

Ingredients
  Mild italian sausage 1 Pound
  Canned whole tomatoes 28 Ounce, undrained
  Canned tomato paste 6 Ounce
  Onion 1 Large, chopped
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), crushed
  Italian seasoning 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Sugar 1 Teaspoon
  Ground red pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Green peppers 2 Medium, coarsely chopped
  Sliced fresh mushrooms 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Hot cooked rice 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Remove casings from sausage.
Cook sausage in a skillet until browned.
Stir to crumble, drain well.
Add tomatoes, tomato paste, onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, sugar, and red pepper, and bring to a boil.
Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes.
Stir in green pepper and mushrooms.
Cover, and simmer 10 minutes.
Serve over hot cooked rice.
