Italian Veal And Mushrooms
|Veal steak||1 Pound|
|Olive oil||1 Tablespoon|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm)|
|White wine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Tomato paste||1 Teaspoon|
|Freshly ground black pepper||1 Teaspoon|
|Light cream||2 Tablespoon|
Cut veal into 3-4-inch pieces and coat with flour.
Brown in a frying pan (with lid) in hot oil and butter.
Reduce heat and add garlic and onion and cook until onion is soft.
Add mushrooms and cook a further 2 minutes.
Add wine, tomato paste and seasoning.
Cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until veal is tender.
Stir in cream and serve immediately.
