Italian Beef (Sandwiches) on the Weber Kettle

I've been wanting to make this since I made my Roast Beef Sandwich video. These turned out so good I can not wait to make them again.

Ingredients

Water 6 Cup (96 tbs)
Bouillon cubes 4 (beef bouillon cubes used)
Olive oil 1 Teaspoon
Bottom round beef roast 2 Pound
For the rub
Black pepper 1 Tablespoon
Garlic powder 2 Tablespoon
Onion powder 1 Teaspoon
Oregano 1 Teaspoon
Basil powder 1 Teaspoon
Red pepper chilli flakes 1/2 Teaspoon
For serving
Sandwich bread roll 8
Mozzarella cheese 1 Cup (16 tbs) , shredded

Directions

GETTING READY

1. In a 9x13 pan, add six cups of water. Place it on the weber and dissolve the bouillon cubes in it.

2. In a bowl combine all the ingredients for the rub and set aside.

MAKING

3. Place the bottom round roast on a flat surface and rub with olive oil on all sides. Now apply the prepared rub on the beef to coat evenly.

4. Add the remaining rub to the water and bouillon mixture and now arrange a rack on the pan as shown in the video.

5. Place the bottom round roast on this rack and allow to cook for about 90 minutes. During this time as the beef cooks, the water and bouillon mixture will evaporate and become concentrated and act as a gravy for the beef.

6. Remove the bottom round roast from the grill and wrap in a silver foil. Place in the refrigerator and allow to firm up for about 30 minutes.

7. Remove from the refrigerator and slice thinly. Now put the sliced meat into the concentrated liquid and allow it to soak up some more flavor.

FINALIZING

8. Slit the sandwich rolls and stuff them with sliced bottom round roast. Arrange some shredded mozzarella on top and drizzle the concentrated liquid from the meat on top.

SERVING

9. Serve fresh.
