|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm)|
|Dried basil leaves||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Dried oregano||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|French bread loaf/6 hard rolls||1 Large|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Sliced mozzarella cheese||6 Ounce|
|Canned anchovy fillets||2 Ounce|
|Sliced pitted ripe olives||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Blend together the mayonnaise, vinegar, garlic, basil, and oregano.
Cut bread in half, length wise; spread with butter, then with mayonnaise mixture.
On bottom half of bread, arrange the romaine, slices of cheese, onion rings, tomatoes, anchovy fillets, and olive slices.
Replace top half of bread or rolls.
Secure with wooden picks.
Slice French bread loaf into 6 sandwiches.
