Italian Meat Loaf
|Farina||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Boiling water||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Garlic||1⁄2 Clove (2.5 gm)|
|Mixed italian herbs||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Dark mushrooms||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Minced ham||1 Pound|
|Minced veal||1 Pound|
|Stale bread slices||2|
Stir the farina into the boiling water, and cook and stir about 3 minutes until thick.
Remove from heat, and stir in the next 5 ingredients.
Cool, and mix well with the ham, veal and egg.
Shape into an oval with wet hands, and set on 2 slices of stale bread in a shallow baking pan.
Brush with oil, and bake at 350°F from 1 1/4-1 1/2 hours.
Lift to a hot platter, and serve.
