Risi E Bisi Italian Rice and Peas
|Cooked brown rice||2 Cup (32 tbs), hot & firmly cooked|
|Boiling water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Instant chicken broth and seasoning mix||2 Ounce (2 Envelopes)|
|Dehydrated onion flakes||1 Teaspoon|
|Minced parsley||2 Teaspoon|
|Sherry extract||2 Drop (Few Drops)|
|Frozen green peas||16 Ounce (1 Package)|
1) Take a small saucepan and combine all ingredients in it.
2) Bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for about 15 minutes or until pears become soft.
3) Transfer to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired.
TIP: You can remove cover and simmer if rice and peas become too moist.
