Italian Country Chicken
|Smoked streaky bacon||100 Gram, diced|
|Onion||1 , peeled and chopped|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), crushed|
|Red wine||150 Milliliter (Italian Variety)|
|Chicken stock||150 Milliliter|
|Dried thyme||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Freshly ground black pepper||To Taste|
1.Take a pan, put butter in it and heat.
2.Once done, brown the chicken in it.
3.Transfer the chicken to a large casserole.
4.Put bacon in the pan; also add onion and garlic.
5.Brown the ingredients .
6.Add flour and heat for 2 minutes.
7.Stir in wine, stock, seasoning and thyme and let the mixture boil.
8.Once done, drizzle the mixtute on the chicken.
9.Put th elid on and cook in warm oven for 1 hour.
10.Once the chicken is soft, take the dish out and add the seasonings.
11.Serve the casserole warm.
The casserole acn be frozen. Defrost in a refrigerator overnight and heat for 45 minutes at 180 C in moderate oven.
