Italian Meat Sauce
|Chopped onion||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Olive oil||1 1⁄2 Tablespoon|
|Ground beef||1 Pound|
|Canned italian tomatoes||28 Ounce, drained and cut into pieces (1 Can)|
|Tomato paste||12 Ounce (2 Cans, 6 Ounces Each)|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Salt||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Oregano leaves||1 Teaspoon|
1.In a 2 quart glass measuring pitcher, heat onion, garlic and oil for 3-5 minutes at High in microwave oven without covering.
2.Mix the ingredients while cooking.
3.Put meat in the pitcher and stir.
4.Secure the dish with waxed paper and heat for 4-5 minutes at High so that meat loses all its pinkness.
5.Mix once in between.
6.Add tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, pepper, oregano leaves and cook for 5-8 minutes at High until frothy.
7.Mix once in between.
8.Serve the sauce as food accompaniment.
