Italian Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
  Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm), peeled and crushed
  Olive oil/Cooking oil 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Canned tomato puree 28 Ounce (1 Can Of 1 Pound And 12 Ounce)
  Water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Salt 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Sugar 1 Teaspoon
  Basil 1 Teaspoon
  Bay leaf 1 , crumbled
  Crushed dried hot red chili 1⁄8 Teaspoon
Directions

MAKING
1. In a saucepan, add oil and heat on medium flame
2. Add garlic to it and saute for a couple of minutes
3. Now, add in all the rest of the ingredients too
4. Cover the saucepan and let it simmer for half an hour or more, stirring occasionally

SERVING
5. Serve as appropriate
