Italian Green Beans With Water Chestnuts
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Canned water chestnuts||5 Ounce, drained and sliced (1 cup, 1 can)|
|Frozen italian green beans||20 Ounce (2 packages)|
|Consomme||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Melt the butter in a heavy skillet, add the water chestnuts, and saute them lightly for a few minutes, stirring constantly.
Stir in the beans, mixing well, and keep stirring until the beans are well broken up.
Add the consomme, bring to a boil, cover tightly, turn the heat low, and simmer about 5 minutes, or until the beans are tender but still crisp.
