Ingredients
  Water 6 Quart
  Chopped onion 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Olive oil 1 Tablespoon
  Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm), minced
  Canned sardines in oil 11 1⁄4 Ounce, drained and mashed (3 Cans Of 3 3/4 Ounce Each)
  Canned anchovies 2 Ounce, drained and mashed (1 Can)
  Fennel seed 1 Tablespoon
  Raisins 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Chopped parsley 1 Tablespoon
  Freshly ground black pepper 1
  Spaghetti/Fettuccini / other pasta 1 1⁄2 Pound
Directions

In a large kettle, bring water to a boil.
In a skillet saute' onion in oil until tender.
Stir in remaining ingredients, except spaghetti, in order and cook over low heat until heated through.
When water boils, stir in spaghetti.
Cook until "al dente."
