Classic Italian Chicken Cacciatore

Ingredients
  Cooking oil 1 Teaspoon
  Chicken 2 1⁄2 Pound, cut into pieces
  Chopped onion/1/4 cup instant minced onion 1 Cup (16 tbs) (2 Medium)
  Garlic powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Chicken bouillon cube/1 teaspoon instant chicken bouillon 1
  Boiling water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Canned tomatoes 1 Pound, undrained (2 Cups / 1 Can)
  Tomato paste 6 Ounce (3/4 Cup)
  Undrained mushrooms 6 Ounce (3/4 Cup)
  Salt 1 Tablespoon
  Pepper 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ground thyme 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Bay leaves 2
  Cayenne pepper 1 Dash
Directions

Heat oil in large fry pan.
Add chicken and brown until golden.
Add onion; brown slightly.
Drain off excess fat.
Dissolve bouillon cube in boiling water.
Add to chicken.
Add remaining ingredients.
Simmer, covered, for 1/2 hour.
Remove cover and simmer 1/2 hour until tender.
Serve sauce over chicken.
