|Tightly packed basil||4 Cup (64 tbs) (Fresh)|
|Olive oil||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm), crushed|
|Pine nuts/Walnuts / almonds||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Freshly grated cheese||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Parmesan / Romano)|
Place the basil in a food blender (don't bother trying this with dried basil; it won't work).
Add the oil, garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, and nuts.
Blend until all are chopped very fine.
Remove from the blender and add the grated cheese.
Put in soups or on pasta.
