Sausage Polenta

Ingredients
  Chopped onion 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), minced
  Salad oil 2 Tablespoon
  Canned tomatoes 1 Pound
  Canned tomato paste 6 Ounce (1 Can)
  Broiled mushrooms slices with liquid 3 Ounce (1 Can)
  Broiled sliced mushrooms with liquid 3 Ounce (1 Can)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1 Dash
  Oregano 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Parmesan cheese 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), grated
  Corn muffin mix/1 package corn-bread mix 200 Gram (1 Packet)
  Brown and serve sausage 8 Ounce (1 Package)
  Shredded sharp process cheese 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Cook onion and garlic in hot oil till tender but not brown.
Add next 6 ingredients and simmer uncovered 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, add Parmesan to corn-muffin or bread mix and prepare batter following package directions; spread in a greased 10 x 6 x 1 1/2-inch baking dish.
Slice 3 or 4 sausages over batter; pour hot tomato mixture over all.
Bake at 400° for 25 minutes.
Arrange remaining sausages on top; bake 15 minutes.
Sprinkle with cheese.
