|Minced meat||150 Gram, lightly ground|
|Chopped tomatoes||700 Gram, blanched and chopped|
|Onion||1 Large, chopped|
|Garlic||4 Clove (20 gm)|
|Chopped parsley||3 Tablespoon|
|Olive oil||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Salt||2 Teaspoon (Leveled)|
|Pepper||1⁄2 Teaspoon (Leveled)|
|Water||150 Milliliter (1 1/4 cups)|
1. Heat butter and oil. Fry garlic until brown and discard. Add minced meat, stir well and fry till colour turns golden brown.
2. Add onion and carrot with all other seasonings. Stir and cook until golden brown.
3. Add tomatoes, salt and pepper. Stir well. Bring to the boil, lower heat, cover and simmer for 45 minutes. Add more water if needed. Keep warm and use as required.
Vegetarian salsa bolognesi:
Method and ingredients as above. Use 150 gms. fried soya mince instead of meat.
This sauce is used for pizza and spaghetti bolognesi, Lasagne etc.
