Liqueur Flavored Tiramisu
|Mascarpone cheese||8 Ounce|
|Granulated sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Espresso coffee/Strong brewed coffee||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Marsala/Coffee liqueur||2 Tablespoon|
|Whipping cream/Heavy cream||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Espresso/Strong brewed coffee||1 Cup (16 tbs), hot|
|Powdered cocoa/Chocolate shavings||1 Teaspoon|
1. In a bowl, beat yolks for 2 minutes, until light and frothy. Add Mascarpone, sugar, cold espresso and Marsala. Beat until well-blended. Slowly add whipping cream, continuing to beat mixture about 5 minutes, until mixture is stiff.
2. One at a time, dip 20 to 24 ladyfingers halfway into the hot espresso. Stand them up around the edge of a 10-inch (25-cm) wide round glass serving dish. Spread half the Mascarpone mixture in the dish. Dip remaining ladyfingers in espresso and lay them over Mascarpone mixture. Cover with remaining Mascarpone mixture.
3. Refrigerate, covered, for several hours or up to 24 hours. Before serving garnish with a sprinkle of cocoa or chocolate shavings.
