Chicken Cacciatore With Fusilli

Ingredients
  Vegetable oil 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Chicken 3 1⁄2 Pound, cut into serving pieces (1 In Number)
  Onion 1 , chopped fine
  Mushrooms 1⁄2 Pound, sliced thin
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), minced
  Canned plum tomatoes with their juice 28 Ounce (1 Can)
  Dry red wine 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Flat anchovy fillets 2 , rinsed and patted
Directions

In a kettle heat the oil over moderately high heat until it is hot but not smoking and in it brown the chicken, patted dry, in batches, transferring it as it is browned to a bowl.
