|Fresh parsley||1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped|
|Fresh basil||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
|Walnuts||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), chopped|
|Olive oil||1 Tablespoon|
|Garlic powder||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Combine 2 cups water and barley in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil.
Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes or until barley is tender.
Combine parsley and remaining ingredients in container of an electric blender or food processor; top with cover, and process until smooth.
Combine barley and parsley mixture in a medium bowl; stir well.
