Polenta With Sausage

Ingredients
  Mild italian sausage 1 Pound (Links, Cut Into 1 1/2 Inch Pieces)
  Pancetta/Bacon 1⁄4 Pound, cut up
  Chopped onion 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Chopped green pepper 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Chopped carrot 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Canned tomatoes 16 Ounce, cut up (1 Can)
  Dry red wine 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Bay leaf 1
  Polenta 1 Cup (16 tbs) (To Serve)
Directions

In large skillet cook sausage, pancetta or bacon, onion, green pepper, and carrot about 15 minutes or till meat is browned and vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally.
Drain off fat.
Stir in undrained tomatoes, wine, bay leaf, 1/2 cup water, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and dash pepper.
Boil gently, uncovered, for 35 to 40 minutes or till desired consistency, stirring occasionally.
Discard bay leaf.
