Minestrone A Alla Genovese

Ingredients
  Dry navy beans 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Water 10 Cup (160 tbs)
  Chopped carrots 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Finely shredded cabbage 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Canned peas 8 1⁄2 Ounce, drained (1 Can)
  Canned cut green beans 8 Ounce, drained (1 Can)
  Canned tomatoes 8 Ounce (1 Can)
  Fine noodles 4 Ounce
  Salt 2 Teaspoon
  Dried basil 1 Teaspoon, crushed
  Light cream 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Grated parmesan cheese 3 Tablespoon
  Butter 3 Tablespoon
  Cooking oil 3 Tablespoon
  Snipped parsley 2 Tablespoon
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), minced
Directions

Rinse beans.
Combine beans and water; simmer 2 minutes.
Remove from heat; cover and let stand 1 hour.
Do not drain.
Add carrots;simmer, covered, 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
Add cabbage, peas, green beans, tomatoes, noodles, salt, and basil.
Simmer till noodles are done, 20 to 25 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients.
