Ingredients
  Italian bread loaf/French bread loaf 1 Pound
  Butter stick 6 Ounce
  Tomato paste 3 Tablespoon
  Garlic 3 Clove (15 gm), minced
  Dried sage leaves 1 Teaspoon
  Roasted bell peppers 7 1⁄4 Ounce, drained and chopped (1 Jar)
  Canned boneless skinless sardines 9 Ounce, drained (2 Can)
  Hard cooked eggs 4 , cut into 1/2-inch slices
  Pepper 1 Teaspoon
Directions

1. Cut bread in half lengthwise and remove some of soft center from bottom half.
2. Use a fork or electric mixer to mix butter, tomato paste, garlic, and sage until well blended.
3. Spread butter mixture over cut sides of bread. Top with roasted peppers, sardines, and then eggs. Season generously with pepper. Replace top half of bread and press gently. To serve, cut into 3- to 4-inch diagonal slices.
