Italian Style Salisbury Steaks
|Ground beef||1 Pound|
|Seasoned dry bread crumbs||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Egg||1 , slightly beaten|
|Italian dressing/Robusto italian dressing||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Thinly sliced onions||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Thinly sliced mushrooms||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Tomato sauce||8 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Basil leaves||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Preheat oven to 350°.
In medium bowl, thoroughly combine ground beef, bread crumbs, water, egg, salt and pepper.
Shape into 4 oval patties, then place in 1 1/2-quart oblong baking pan; set aside.
In medium skillet, heat Italian dressing and cook onions with mushrooms over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until tender.
Stir in tomato sauce and basil.
Spoon tomato mixture over patties and bake 30 minutes or until done.
