No-Meat Italian Sauce

This Italian Tomato Sauce is my favorite. Try this spcied and herbed tomato dip for your next meal. Your suggestions for this Italian Tomato Sauce are welcome.
Ingredients
  Olive oil 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Garlic clove 2 Medium, halved
  Tomatoes 28 Ounce, sieved
  Snipped parsley 1 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Oregano leaves 1⁄2 Teaspoon, crushed
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
Directions

1. Heat olive oil and garlic in a 2-quart glass measuring pitcher in microwave oven 3 minutes at High, or until garlic is lightly browned.
2. Add sieved tomatoes, parsley and dry seasonings to garlic and oil; stir. Cook uncovered in microwave oven 30 minutes at High; stir twice. Remove garlic.
