Pot Roast Italian Style
|Pot roast||2 Pound, trimmed|
|Olive oil||1⁄2 Tablespoon|
|Garlic||1 1⁄2 Clove (7.5 gm), minced|
|Chopped onions||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Minced parsley||2 Tablespoon|
|Beef broth||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Dry vermouth||1 1⁄2 Tablespoon|
|Canned tomato sauce||6 Ounce|
1) Heat the oil and butter in a pan. Place roast, garlic and onions in the oil and butter and cook until brown on all sides, approximately 10 minutes.
2) Season with the salt, pepper, and rosemary, and then add the parsley, beef broth, vermouth and tomato sauce.
3) Cover and bake in a 350 degree oven for 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until meat is tender.
