Quick Italian Sauce
|Chopped onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Vegetable oil||1 Tablespoon|
|Tomato paste||12 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Canned tomato soup||7 3⁄4 Ounce, undiluted (1 Can)|
|Water||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Dried whole oregano||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ground basil||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Saute onion and garlic in hot oil until tender; stir in remaining ingredients.
Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
