This Amaretto brownie recipe will not make you forget its taste forever. It will taste like the best Amaretto recipe you have ever eaten. A delight to your palate!
1 Cup (16 tbs)
Unsweetened chocolate square
4 Ounce (4 X 1 Ounce Squares)
2 Cup (32 tbs)
4 , beaten
Amaretto liqueur/Almond liqueur
All purpose flour
1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
Combine shortening and chocolate in a heavy saucepan; cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until melted.
Add sugar, stirring well.
Remove from heat, and cool.
Stir in eggs and amaretto.
Combine flour and salt; add to creamed mixture, stirring well.
Pour batter into a lightly greased 13- x 9- x 2-inch baking pan.
Bake at 400° for 20 minutes; cool.
Frost with Amaretto Frosting.
Arrange almonds over top, and cut into 2-inch squares.
