|Sherry||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
Combine all ingredients in the top of a double boiler; mix thoroughly.
Cook the mixture over simmering water about 10 minutes, beating constantly with electric or hand rotary beater until the mixture is so thick that it will float a spoon.
Set the double-boiler top in a bowl of cracked ice and continue to beat the zabaglione until it is cold.
Turn into sherbet glasses
