Here is a simple lasagna recipe using only 1 meat and homemade pasta noodles.
If you want to use fresh store bought pasta sheets, you will only need 6 of
the 8 sheets of lasagne in a package for a 13" x 9" (3 L) baking dish.
Meat sauce | To Taste (from my 'Meat Sauce' recipe)
Lasagne sheets/Homemade pasta | 12 Ounce
Mozzarella ball | 12 Ounce , shredded
Ricotta cheese | 16 Ounce
Grated parmesan cheese | 2 Tablespoon |
Getting Ready
Preheat oven to 350ºF (180ºC).
Making
Pour 1 cup (250 mL) of the sauce in the bottom of the baking dish.
Top with pasta sheets, another cup (250 mL) of sauce, some of the ricotta cheese and mozzarella cheese. Repeat with another 4 pasta sheets, sauce and cheeses.
Sprinkle remaining ricotta cheese on top and last pasta sheet.
Spread with another 1 cup (250 mL) of sauce and remaining mozzarella cheese.
Cover with foil and place on baking sheet.
Bake for 45 minutes.
Uncover and bake for about 30 minutes or until golden brown and knife inserted in middle is hot.
Tip: You can assemble the lasagne and refrigerate it for up to 1 day before baking.
