Ingredients

Italian sausage 1 Pound (((sweet or hot)))
Bacon slices 4 (((or 1/4 pound bacon)))
Russet potatoes 4 Large , peeled (((cut in half lengthwise, then sliced 1/4
Onion 1 Large , chopped
Chicken stock 1 1/2 Quart
Chopped fresh kale/Swiss chard 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Heavy cream/Half and half 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Salt and pepper To Taste

Directions

MAKING

In a large skillet, add in the sausage and bacon brown together over medium heat.

Drain off excess fat and place into a slow cooker.

Add in the potato, onions, chicken broth, and cook on low for approximately 3 to 3 1/2 hours.

Add chopped kale and heavy cream or half and half about 30 to 60 minutes before serving.

 

SERVING

Ladle out the soup in a serving bowl and serve.
