Toasted Almond Fingers
|Butter/Margarine||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Powdered sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Almonds||2 Cup (32 tbs), finely chopped (toasted)|
Cream butter and sugar gradually until light and fluffy.
Beat in cream and vanilla extract.
Add flour and salt.
Mix to form a soft dough.
Stir in nuts.
Chill dough thoroughly.
Shape into "fingers" and bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 325° for about 15 minutes, or until delicately browned.
When cookies are cool, dip one end of each into Frosting.
