Some Strawberry Trivia!
Strawberries, strawberries and strawberries! I have been served a simple strawberry mousse, a strawberry milkshake and a yummy yummy strawberry shortcake in just 5 days! It didn’t take much time for me to figure that the fruit is definitely demanding for some attention! So to please this fruit, I googled strawberries and there were quiet a few of trivia about this fruit that I just had to share!!

This juicy fruit belongs to the rose family and an average strawberry has about 200 seeds. Now are you wondering why you never found any seeds when you were biting into them? You saw them and you ate them but you just dint realize that all those bumpy objects on the surface were actually strawberry seeds!

In Bavaria country folk practise a ritual of tying small baskets filled with strawberries to the horns of their cattle as an offering for the elves. They believe that the elves in turn will express their gratitude by coaxing the cows to give more milk. If famous tenors can serenade to cattle for the same purpose then hanging strawberry baskets from the horns of cattle doesn’t seem surprising!
