All that you need is a saucepan of boiling water, a teaspoon of vinegar and an egg. Crack open the egg into the boiling water mixed with a teaspoon of vinegar and boil the eggs for about two minutes. Boiling it for longer would kill the zing that a runny yolk would give the meal. The idea is to leave it moist. The egg removed from the water can be placed on the toast. Sprinkle some salt and pepper and it would taste good.
Another way of eating poached egg is by chopping it on top of the toast so that the runny yolk moistens the toast. If you are eating it outside, poached egg might come in a bowl. You can scoop it out of it with a spoon on your toast and have it. Since poached egg is really soft, it’s better not to disturb the surface before it reaches your toast. Poached eggs are excellent with green salad, the yolk of which would make a delicious salad dressing.
