Oven Pear Preserves

|Sugar||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
|Chopped candied ginger||2 Tablespoon|
Mix pears, lemon, sugar and ginger.
Cover; let stand overnight.
Bring to a boil.
I3ake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
Reduce oven temperature to 300 degrees; bake for 1 hour or until thick and amber-colored.
Pour into hot sterilized jars; seal.
