Microwaved Cherry Preserves

Ingredients
  Whole cherries with stems 8 Ounce (225 Gram, Use Fresh)
  White grape juice 90 Milliliter (Unsweetened, 6 Tablespoon)
  Caster sugar 4 Ounce (100 Gram)
  Galliano/Yellow chartreuse 60 Milliliter (4 Tablespoon)
Directions

GETTING READY
1. Wash the cherries
2. Dry them by rolling them around on absorbent kitchen paper
3. Do not remove the stems
4. Sterilize two 175 g (6 oz) pots or glass jars

MAKING
5. Use a fine needle to prick each cherry right to the stone in 6-8 places
6. Fill the jars with the cherries
7. In a separate medium heatproof bowl, tip in the grape juice and the sugar
8. Microwave uncovered on HIGH for 6 minutes
9. The fruit will be very hot. Ensure that you stir it twice during the cooking process to prevent sticking
10. Carefully pour the hot syrup over the cherries
11. Sit the 2 pots evenly in the microwave and microwave uncovered on HIGH FOR 2 minutes.

FINALIZING
12. Pour 1 tablespoon of the chosen liqueur onto each pot Cover with a waxed disc
13. Seal with cellophane
14. Secure with a rubber band
15. Store in a cool dark place

SERVING
16. Serve as a jam

TIP
Rearrange the position of the pots in the Microwave halfway during the cooking time to ensure an even cooking process
