Yeast Doughnuts Drop Batter
|Dry yeast package||2 1⁄4 Teaspoon (2 Packages)|
|Warm water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Warm milk||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Sifted whole wheat flour||3 1⁄2 Cup (56 tbs)|
|Soft butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
1) In a little warm water, add the yeast to soften.
2) In a large bowl, add the milk, honey, nutmeg, stir in half the flour, beat inthe eggs and softened yeast, the remaining flour and blend well until smooth.
3) Keep covered in a warm place until doubled in bulk, stir down and alloe the mixture to rest for a while.
4) In a deep-frying kettle, heat oil to about 360 Deg F , spoon in the mixture into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, drain excess oil.
6) Serve immediately.
