Black Cherry Conserve

|Oranges||2 , thinly sliced|
|Pitted black cherries||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
|Sugar||3 1⁄2 Cup (56 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||1 Tablespoon (Juice Extracted From 1 Lemon)|
|Slivered almonds||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Cover the orange slices with water and bring to a boil.
Boil until soft.
Add remaining ingredients except the almonds and boil until thick and clear.
Add the almonds and boil for 2 minutes.
Pour into hot sterilized jars and seal.
