Doughnuts Without Yeast
|Plain flour||8 Ounce|
|Butter/Margarine||1 1⁄2 Ounce|
|Sugar||1 1⁄2 Ounce|
|Grated lemon rind||1 Teaspoon (Leveled) (Use A Little)|
|Baking powder||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Milk||3 3⁄4 Ounce (3/4 Gill Or Use Enough To Make A Light Dough)|
Mix flour and salt, rub in fat.
Add other dry ingredients and mix to a light dough with egg and milk.
Roll out on a floured board 1/2 in thick, cut out and fry as for yeast doughnuts.
