Doughnuts Without Yeast

Ingredients
  Plain flour 8 Ounce
  Salt 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Butter/Margarine 1 1⁄2 Ounce
  Sugar 1 1⁄2 Ounce
  Grated lemon rind 1 Teaspoon (Leveled) (Use A Little)
  Baking powder 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Egg 1
  Milk 3 3⁄4 Ounce (3/4 Gill Or Use Enough To Make A Light Dough)
Directions

Mix flour and salt, rub in fat.
Add other dry ingredients and mix to a light dough with egg and milk.
Roll out on a floured board 1/2 in thick, cut out and fry as for yeast doughnuts.
