Professional Life of Sanjeev Kapoor

He had started his culinary career after being advised by a family friend to take up catering classes even though he himself aspired to take up engineering. Sanjeev Kapoor next joined as a Chief Chef at New Zealand’s first African specialty restaurant by the name of Zanzibar after which he joined Shamiana, Wellington. He returned to India to work at Hotel Asoka’s Frontier Restaurant in New Delhi and later moved on to Juhu Centaur Hotel, Mumbai. In different courses of his professional life, Sanjeev Kapoor has organized numerous food festivals worldwide.

Master Chef Sanjeev Kapoor was honored with the National Award in the Best Chef category for the Year 2006-2007.
He has been receiving the Indian ‘Best Cookery Show’ award by Television Academy (ITA) each year consecutively since the show started its journey in 2000 for the Zee Television cookery show - Khana Khazana.
