Punjabi Dal

Punjabi Dal is a very popular Indian food item relished with other main course meals. Often served with chapattis and rice, Punjabi Dal has different names and cooking techniques. Depending on the cooking methods, Punjabi Dal recipes can be eaten as Punjabi Dal Fry, Punjabi Dal Tadka, and Punjabi Dal Makhanni, etc. The commonly used ingredients to make Punjabi Dal recipes are urad dal, chana dal, red kidney beans, onions, tomatoes, garlic cloves, green chilies, red chili powder, cumin powder, fresh coriander leaves, kasuri methi, butter, oil and salt to taste.
