Methi

Methi is a plant belonging to the Fabaceae family which is known as Fenugreek in the English Language. Its seeds are used as a spicing ingredient and its leaves are used as herbs in cooking various food items. The main fenugreek producing countries are China, France, Egypt, Spain, Argentina, India, Pakistan, Morocco, and Turkey. Amongst these countries, India is the largest producer of Methi. It is used in culinary preparations all over the world as it is a rich source of protein and iron and also contains Vitamin A, zinc, phosphorous, potassium, magnesium and calcium.
