Matar Paneer

 

The matar paneer is one of the most famous North Indian vegetarian dishes that are made of paneer (cottage cheese) and green peas. The peas and cheese is cooked in gravy that is sweet and spicy in taste. Matar paneer is preferred to be served with the Indian bread varieties such as paratha, roti, poori and naan. Almost similar to the north Indian dish palak paneer, it may also be garnished with coriander leaves and cream. Apart from these, the main ingredients needed to prepare matar paneer are peeled & chopped onion, fresh ginger, paneer, dried red pepper, ground coriander, ground turmeric, tomatoes, salt, black pepper and frozen peas.
