Spicy Semolina Upma

Ingredients
  Semolina 7 Ounce (About 200 Gram Or 2 Cups)
  Onions 2 Large
  Fresh ginger root 1 Small
  Green chilies 4
  Mint leaves 2
  Margarine 1 Ounce (About 25 Gram Or 2 Tablespoon)
  Split black peas 1⁄2 Ounce, soaked for 4 hours (About 15 Gram Or 1 Tablespoon, Lentils)
  Mustard 1 Tablespoon (About 15 Milliliter)
  Hot water 1 Pint (About 1 Liter Or 4.5 Cups)
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

1 Preheat the oven to 200°C, 400°C, gas 6.
Put the semolina in a roasting pan and brown in the oven for 5 minutes.
2 Chop the onions, ginger, chil- lies and mint.
3 Heat the margarine in a pan and fry the black peas, for 1 minute.
Add the onion and spices, herbs and seasoning and fry for 5 minutes, stirring.
4 Pour in the water and bring to the boil.
Add the semolina a little at a time and stir to avoid lumps.
Cook for 10 minutes until the water is almost evaporated.
