Badam Nandu Vada

Badam nandu vada is a cooked pakoda like preparation made with cooked crabmeat and ground almonds. Combined with spices like ginger, chilies and turmeric, the badam nandu vada is deep fried to a golden brown and served hot.
  Crab meat 150 Gram
  Almonds 30 Gram, blanched and ground to a coarse paste
  Lime 2 , juiced
  Onion 60 Gram, chopped
  Turmeric powder 3 Gram
  Green chilies 3 , chopped
  Aniseed powder 6 Gram
  Peppercorns 15 Gram, finley crushed
  Ginger 5 Gram, chopped
  Curry leaves 12 , chopped
  Coriander leaves 25 Gram, chopped
  Oil 45 Milliliter
  Oil 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Salt To Taste

Heat oil in a pan, toss in onions, green chillies, ginger, turmeric and curry leaves.
Saute till onions turn translucent.
Add crab meat, aniseed and peppercorn powder.
Stir fry for 2 minutes and add almond paste.
Saute for 1-2 minutes more and add salt.
Remove from fire, add lime juice and chopped coriander leaves.
Mix well and leave to cool.
Make 24 equal sized balls.
Flatten to form discs and deep fry till golden brown.
Serve hot.
