Gajar Ka Halwa

gajar ka halwa is popular and traditional indian dessert made with toasted carrots, milk, ghee and sugar. Loaded with indulgence and sweetness, this gajar ka halwa can be prepared in the microwave with cashews and raisins for a rich and sweet dessert.
  Full cream milk 500 Milliliter
  Sugar 60 Gram (To Taste)
  Carrots 250 Gram, grated
  Khoya 150 Gram, grated or mashed
  Kewra essence 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cardamom 1 Pinch
  Cashew nuts 10
  Desi ghee 2 Tablespoon
  Raisins 20

Boil the milk, in a 1.5 litre deep dish, on 100% power for 4:00 minutes.
Add the grated carrots.
Mix and microwave on 100% power for 1:30 minutes.
Lower the power level to 80% and microwave uncovered, for 30:00 minutes, stirring occasionally, till dry.
Add the ghee, sugar, khoya and essence(optional).
Mix well and microwave on 100% power for 4:00 minutes.
Garnish, with cardmom, and cashewnuts and raisins and serve hot.
