Ingredients
  Chana dal 60 Gram
  Udad dal 60 Gram
  Arhar 30 Gram
  Fresh ginger paste 2 Teaspoon
  Ghee 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Black pepper 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Tomato 1 Large
  Green chilies 2
  Salt To Taste
  Whole moong dal 60 Gram
  Masoor 60 Gram
  Turmeric 1 Teaspoon
  Asafoetida 1 Pinch
  Red chili powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Black cumin 1 Teaspoon
  Small onion 1
  Curd 1 Tablespoon
Directions

GETTING READY
1 Pick and wash all the dals well.

MAKING
2 In a large pan, boil enough water and add in the dals along with turmeric.
3 Cook until partially tender.
4 In a frying pan, heat 1 tbsp ghee.
5 Add in asafetida and cook until light brown.
6 Combine it with the dals along with some ghee, salt and curd.
7 Cook on low heat until tender.
8 Stir in red chilli powder and black pepper.
9 In a frying pan, heat the ghee.
10 Add in chopped onion, ginger and cook until light brown.
11 Add in black cumin seeds, chopped green chillies, and tomatoes without the pulp.
12 Cook stirring for a few minutes.
13 Stir the prepared mixture into the dal.

SERVING
14 Serve hot with chapatis or rice.
