Saunftindas (Tindas Flavoured With Aniseed)

Ingredients
  Tinda 1⁄2 Kilogram, cut in to halves, peeled
  Cooking oil 2 Tablespoon
  Cumin seeds 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Fresh coriander leaves 2 Tablespoon, chopped
  Aniseed 1 Teaspoon
  Tomatoes/With coriander and aniseeds 2 Large, pureed
  Turmeric powder 1 Pinch
  Chili powder To Taste
  Salt To Taste
Directions

Heat the oil.
Add the cumin and let it fry for a few seconds.
Don't let it get too dark.
Add to the oil the pureed tomatoes, coriander and aniseed.
Fry gently till the fat separates.
Add the turmeric salt and chilli and the vegetable.
Mix well, add 1/2 a cup of water and close the cooker.
After it comes to maximum pressure, reduce heat and keep on the fire for 2-3 minutes.
Open the cooker and dry out the liquid further if you prefer a dry preparation.
