Red Lentil Soup

Ingredients
  Red lentils 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Water 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Onions 2 , sliced
  Cumin powder 1 Teaspoon
  Allspice 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt To Taste
  Oil 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Pita bread 1 (or 5 slices regular bread, cut into 1/4-inch squares)
Directions

Combine the lentils, water and onions in a pan.
Bring to boil over high heat.
Reduce heat and cook until the lentils are very tender and soft.
Add more water if necessary.
Stir in the cumin powder, allspice and salt.
Heat the oil in a skillet and add the bread cubes.
Fry until crisp and golden.
Do not let it burn.
Serve the bread cubes in a separate bowl with the piping hot soup.
