|Short grain rice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||4 Tablespoon|
|Nutmeg/Cinnamon / grated rind of 1 orange||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
Put the rice and the milk in a 4-cup (1 L) microwave-safe bowl.
Cover and microwave 20 minutes at MEDIUM.
Add the butter, sugar or brown or maple sugar, the spice of your choice or the orange rind.
Stir well with a fork.
Cover and microwave 5 to 8 minutes at MEDIUM.
Stir with a fork when ready to serve.
Equally good hot or cold To reheat, pour a spoonful or two of milk or cream over the rice.
Do not stir.
Cover and microwave 2 to 3 minutes, depending on the quantity, at MEDIUM.
